I’ve been seeing a lot of articles and videos about getting well lately that are pretty linear in thought. Do THIS and you’ll get well!

To be honest, these rub me the wrong way. Don’t get me wrong – the tools they are proposing are good tools, they’re just not necessarily the cure all they claim to be.

I see the roadmap to health as more of a journey than a destination. And for me, it’s been a long, slow adventure that has had lots and lots of pit stops. And lots and lots of set backs.

As a person who is still very sick after 9 years of focused treatment, I no longer buy into the theory that one specific thing is going to get me better. There is a lot I have done and am continuing to do to improve my health. I wish I could go back in time and do some of these years earlier – I fully believe I would not be sick if I had implemented simple tools, like healthy eating habits, before I got sick. But since I can’t, I have to find the tools that will help now.

That includes a myriad of changes to daily life, as well as medications, supplements, nutrients, and therapies. Think of it like building a brick wall – one brick is laid on another and then another and eventually, I will have a complete wall.

What tools do you use to lay the bricks? Below are some of mine. If you haven’t done so already, I encourage you to implement your own tools for daily life – they may keep you from needing the additional support.
