It’s that time of year and I can tell you I’ve already had a few coughs, sniffles & scratchy throats in my home.
I wanted to share with (or remind) you of some preventative care tools and remedies for this winter.

PREVENT REINOCCULATION
One of the first steps to take when you are sick should be to either use an air purifier or turn on fans and open the windows to prevent reinocculation.

SUPPLEMENTS
See VT Vault for Dosing & Additional Recommendations
- Vitamin C – 1,000 mg daily (my doctor recommended that I increase dose to digestive tolerance – back off when stool gets loose)
- Vitamin D3 (w/K2) – 125 – 250 mg daily
- Virogen Duo – per instructions
- Olive Leaf
- Quercetin – 500 mg 1-3 times daily
- Zinc – 25-100 mg daily (kills the virus – cannot get into cells – need Hcq or quinine to open cells)
- Elderberry Syrup (you can find some natural brands in the grocery store but they can pricey so I make my own (RECIPE BELOW).
- I add cinnamon & ginger to the batch.
- Tip: I use either raw honey or pure grade A dark robust maple syrup, preferably from Canada)
- Quercetin
- N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) – can help with clearing the respiratory from wildfire smoke as well
- NIH Article
“NAC, a precursor of the antioxidant glutathione, has been used to loosen thick mucus in the lungs arnd treat acetaminophen overdose for decades. However, NAC can also boost the immune system, suppress viral replication, and reduce inflammation.”
- NIH Article
- Garlic, ginger, turmeric, oregano are all helpful – add liberally to food
REMEDY RECIPE’S
Elderberry Syrup (I usually get my elderberries from Azure Standard) – take 1 Tbsp every day
Quinine (natural Hydroxychloroquine)
- Add to pot rinds only from 2-3 lemons and 2-3 grapefruits
- Add water to cover 3” above rinds
- Cover with secure lid – you do not want the steam to escape
- Simmer 3 hours then let cool
- DO NOT TAKE OFF LID UNTIL IT HAS COOLED! Quinine is in the steam.
- Prevention: Take 1-2 Tbsp per day
- When Sick: Take 1 Tbsp every 2 hours – discontinue when symptoms are gone
Pineapple Tea (excellent for respiratory) – add all to pot and simmer for 20-30 minutes
- Fresh Pineapple (juiced) for best results or 1 Jar fresh pineapple juice
- Cinnamon to taste
- Ginger to taste
- Dash of Himalayan or Celtic Sea salt
- Dash of cayenne
- Tbsp apple cider vinegar
Hydrogen Peroxide
An article on NIH advises “an off-label use of H2O23% and 1.5 % (10 volumes) by oral and nasal washing respectively, performed immediately after the onset of the first symptoms and the presumptive diagnosis of COVID-19 and during the illness in home quarantine or by hospitalized patients not requiring intensive care.
We propose a regimen of gargling 3 times per day for disinfection of the oral cavity and nasal washes with a nebulizer twice daily (due to a greater sensitivity of the nasal mucosa).”
