4E3319C3-9694-44AF-ACB5-C4A0C1C9D69EI just finished day 2 at the Biologix Center. A large focus of my healing right now is center mass – gut, kidneys, liver, heart, lungs. I’ll try to better explain the process and treatment protocols later this week – it’s a little overwhelming, even my 2nd time through. But I feel improvement and I am encouraged for what’s to come.

One of the most encouraging things about this place is the joy you find eveywhere. Joy in the doctors. Joy in the staff. Joy on the walls. Even joy in the eyes of the painfully sick patients who are desperate for an ounce of relief.

This is hard. Being sick isn’t really all that difficult. It’s pretty easy to just wallow in my suffering – not fun, but easy. Striving to get better is the battle. Every moment of every day brings a new challenge.

You improve – you crash – you treat one thing, something else surfaces. It’s a continually evolving process and quite frankly, it can be wearing on the soul.

I think it’s a little like the faces of my fellow fighters. On the surface, you see the pain, the devastation, the weakness, the exhaustion – but if you take time to look them in the eye, you will see the joy, the hope, the willingness to endure.

For now, I’m pretty done in and I’m gonna rest, maybe watch a movie or two, and prepare for tomorrow – whatever it may bring.
