Or rather, back in Kansas again!
I am at Biologix in Wichita for another week of treatment. There are a lot of mixed emotions this trip.
For one, the center is moving to Tennessee and this is the last week they’ll be open in Wichita. This is a good move for the center as well as the patients, the doctors and staff will be able to provide additional therapies not available to them in Kansas. But having spent a total of 7 weeks with these folks during the past year, I’m finding myself a little sad to say goodbye to the staff who won’t be making the move.
I’ve also come to love Wichita. Believe it or not, this area is beautifully rich in nature and landscape. We have thoroughly enjoyed getting acquainted with the Kansas culture and history. I don’t know that we will ever be back here, but I wouldn’t argue if the opportunity to return presented itself.
I came here this week a little on the fence about whether or not this trip was a wise decision to make (financially). I worry that we spend too much on my health and while I continue to see improvement every time I come here, I worry that I may never get well enough to work and so I question whether we should spend money on me. But I find myself once again being moved and encouraged by my doctor, feeling a little more hope and a lot more peace.
From autoimmunity issues to detox challenges to improper transportation of key nutrients, my body is getting much needed attention in areas that are often overlooked.
I can’t stress enough how special this place is. If you are struggling with chronic illness, I strongly encourage you to come see these folks. They’ll be open in Franklin, TN in March.
