Where the humidity will melt you in the heat…

It’s so green everywhere – and that would be why.

My joint pain calms down in the humidity – but I get exhausted from it too, so there’s that.

Arkansas River / Keystone Dam

My mother-in-law would’ve said “there’s my river” as we crossed the Arkansas. Her legacy lives on in so much of what we do. This trip has held many reminders of time spent with her.

Tulsa

We landed at the Hall of Fame RV Resort next to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Catoosa just outside of Tulsa.

Due to events beyond everyone’s control, we weren’t able to get together with family but will be seeing my auntie in the morning before heading to Arkansas to visit Dave’s cousin.

Oklahoma is riddled with little bugs. We found two of these strange little creatures in the RV – initially I thought it might be a bed bug, thank God no. It had to use an app called “Picture Insect” to identify it – it’s called a two-spotted carpet beetle and is one of the most destructive bugs to textiles.

We think the dogs brought them in from the grassy areas. So today we will be spraying down everything with apple cider vinegar (carpet, couch, bed, closets, etc) to get ahead of it becoming an infestation.

Oh yeah – and the dogs will be getting a good bath in it too!
