We thought we’d bypass this area but we just couldn’t resist stopping in Dolly’s old stomping grounds. We had no clue how much it’s become THE place to visit for all things touristy! Yeah – we will be back to actually spend a few days seeing it all.

Dolly Parton was raised in Sevierville, which has grown considerably since then!

If you were alive during the 70’s, chances are you watched a little Dukes of Hazzard. We actually stopped in Pigeon Forge just to go here. I couldn’t resist sitting in Daisys Jeep and the General Lee!

Dollywood is here! Just a few miles from her hometown. Oh man I wish we had time to go! Not this time. This place has so much to do!!!

Historic Boone Tavern, Restaurant & Hotel

One of the requirements of Berea College is that students have to work 10 hours at one of the college depts or or work areas – Boone Tavern is owned by the college and students are a large part of the staff. Tuition is free – students earn money for books and such by working at the school.
