The last few days have been rough. Every joint. Every muscle. Every bone. I just hurt all over.
Today, any attempt to sit up or stand has been met with sharp, stabbing pains in my head, neck and face. At one point I tried pushing through the pain and ended up back in bed, crying and rocking myself trying to calm the pain.
Most of the time, it’s increased humidity that affects arthritic conditions. For me, it’s the opposite. I do so much better in hot, humid conditions. Think Hawaii and Florida.
But here in Northern California, we get cold, dry wind in January and February. So every year, I’m pretty much out of commission during the first few months.
It makes me so mad when I can’t do even the most basic activities – like grocery shopping or making meals.
Maybe next year we will find a different climate for a couple months. For now, high dose melatonin, Benadryl and rest are the only things that calm my system. The pain is still there -but a little more tolerable.
God is still God.
God is still good.
To Him be the glory.
