I’ve had some good days recently. I’ve been up most of the morning and have been able to accomplish some much needed cleaning around the house.

But yesterday I work up feeling hungover with nausea, all over body aches, weaknsss, headache, low back spasms and seriously awful neck pain.

Days like this can be incredibly discouraging. Everything I’ve started the last few days comes to a screeching halt as I climb into bed and sleep away the day.

Today isn’t much better. I’m exhausted and just can’t function.

I’ve been on a good path. I’ve felt so much healing. But days like this are scary reminders of just how bad tick disease can be.

I recently joined a social media group for Lyme & Tick disease. There are people all over the world in this group sharing their stories of pain and sickness – begging for help, desperate for any information that can lead them to healing.

Many of these folks feel so hopeless they talk about not being able to continue on – there is at least one or two who talk about suicide every day.

So many of these people are criticized as lazy because they can’t hold down a job. They’re ridiculed for cancelling plans made with friends and family.

This sickness, a compilation of various diseases and conditions, destroys lives.

We have such a fear of global pandemics. But as a society, we don’t seem too concerned that this one exists! And we need to start seeing it for what it is – a deadly, life altering, global pandemic.

If you know someone who is sick, reach out and offer to help them. Clean their house, do their laundry, go to the store, make them a clean and healthy meal, watch their kids, drive them to the doctor, organize meds & supplements – just call them and let them know you care.

Simple acts of compassion could mean the difference between life and death.
