A few years ago, I wrote a post about the movie The Martian focused on working through whatever problem you face when you wake up.
I’m watching it again today – such a good reminder that I can never give up.
Some days, it still feels hopeless. And sometimes, the problems feel like they have no solution.
Some problems take trial and error – like when Mark Whatney blew himself up trying to make water.
So how did he keep motivated to stay alive – to keep trying against all odds?
Attitude. Trust me – I know it’s easier said than done and I know it’s a movie. But is it possible, even life seems hopeless, to find a way to smile, laugh, and dance, joke?
The bottom line for me comes down to this – I have the desire to live. Not just to live, but to live well.
As long as that desire exists, I will keep trying.
Work the problem.
Never give up.
