I’ve been learning about different natural remedies and supplements that may help with specific issues.
For example: I started taking stinging nettle at the recommendation of my doctor to help battle mast cell activation syndrome. He said it may also help with joint pain. It helped with both!
I was ordering a refill when I discovered another product by the same company that has something called “chrysin”, which “is used for bodybuilding; for treating anxiety, inflammation, gout, HIV/AIDS, erectile dysfunction (ED), and baldness; and for preventing cancer” (per RXList).
But what is chrysin?
Well, it’s a flavonoid that occurs naturally in passionflower, honey and propolis (a glue like substance produced by bees).
Carnivore MD adds honey to everything and is in excellent shape. But I wondered why honey. Now I know!
This morning I had pears with honey, cherries, coconut, and pecans. Take a look at the benefits of these foods.

Honey: chrysin, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, iron, zinc, flavonoids, polyphenols and antioxidants which reduces inflammation and fights cholesterol.
Pears: fiber (which limits sugar spikes), vitamins C & K, potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc, polyphenols, anti inflammatory terpenoids and antioxidants (in the skin).
Cherries: fiber, vitamin C, potassium, B vitamins, manganese, copper, magnesium, and vitamin K.
Pecans: omega 3’s, magnesium, calcium, fiber, vitamins A & E, zinc, iron, magnesium, manganese, and phosphorus.
Coconut: protein, fiber, Iron, Manganese, Copper, magnesium, MCTs,
Food is medicine folks. We just need to learn how to eat the things our bodies need.
