I read this and it got me thinking about July 10, 2013.

Really it started long before, but that was the date I became disabled – the date my body finally said ENOUGH!
I have always been an over-do’er. I slept 4-5 hours a night for years. I had high stress jobs, which I justified by saying I thrived in that environment. I was passionate about DOING in my off time – church activities, helping women in troubled times, playing hard with my kiddos, and then trying to keep some sort of a normal home life.
2012 & 2013 brought a lot of good things, but a ton of stress too.
There were warning signs:
- Panic attacks
- Back pain
- Rashes
- Digestive issues
- Headaches
I just thought if I could get through this particular time of chaos, everything will work out and I can rest then.
Then never came.
I learned the hard way that the body has the ability to slow you down. Or completely stop you in your tracks.
There’s so much I wish I’d known back then. I wish I’d taken a step back and figured out how to care for myself BEFORE everything came crashing down.
If you’re there now, don’t wait. If you feel your body giving you warning signs, now is the time for change.
If you need help, reach out.
If you need a place to start, read about the things I wish I’d known:
