I’ve just started a new program that focuses on cellular healing. I have learned a lot about this over the past 5 years but truth be told, this is the first time it made enough sense to actually understand how to do it correctly.
What you’ll read from me in the coming months is what cellular health is, how it gets bad, and how to heal the cells throughout the body.
While there are some key components that apply across the board, things like stressors, toxins and genes differ from person to person, so there are tweaks that need to be made.
What Is Cellular Health?
Our bodies are made up of over 30 trillion cells – with many different functions, shapes and sizes.
Cells have several components but we are going to focus today on just 4:
- Membrane – cellular wall
- Controls the movement of substances in and out of cells
- involved in a variety of cellular processes (cell adhesion, ion conductivity and cell signaling)
- attachment surface for several extracellular structure
- Cytoplasm – jelly like substance made of 90% water as well as dissolved nutrients and waste product.
- provides mechanical support and keeps the shape of the cell by exerting pressure against the cell membrane (turgor pressure)
- stores carbohydrate, lipid and protein molecules
- nourishes the cell by supplying it with salts and sugars
- most cellular activities (including metabolism and cell division) occur here
- contains ribosomes which are essential for protein synthesis
- Nucleus – largest organism in the cell, contains most of the cells genetic material.
- Transcribes rRNA
- Produces mRNA
- Controls gene production
- Controls cellular structure
- Mitochondria – responsible for production of the cells energy.
With just these 4 components, you can see how important it is that our cells function well.
If the cell is inflamed, good stuff can’t get in and bad stuff can’t get out, it can’t communicate with other components (such as hormones), the cellular activity will decline, gene production can be altered, and cell energy can be reduced.
I am learning from Dr. Daniel Pompa and one of his coaches. He provides a wealth of information for people to learn how to heal their cells while he walks you through a program you can take with you into the future.
This is not a quick fix! My Lyme doc always says “you’ve been sick a long time, it’s gonna take a long time to get well”. The Pompa Program is 5 1/2 months – but he makes it clear it can take a couple of years to start feeling like you really have your life back.
So whether you choose to enroll in his program or you just want to start learning on your own, I truly believe cellular healing is the most critical component to chronic sickness (I’ll share more on that soon!)
Never Be Sick Again
Additional Reading: This book is given to every patient at the Biologix Center for Optimum Wellness.
It’s based on the idea that there is only one disease: cellular disfunction. It’s an excellent read and really gives a great foundation for understanding cellular health and the pathways to disfunction.

VERY interesting, Shawn!! 💙
